The Swedish band Secret Service is the chosen one to represent Sweden in Dublin with the song "Go On". The head of delegation has stated that:
It was a tough negotiation. It had started before the results were coming from Stockholm, but it lasted a few weeks. SVT wanted to go for an established act as a follow-up number after winning the first edition and hosting the second one. The target was clear - the evergreen band Secret Service. However, a long standing feud prevented a successful agreement. SVT offered the band a great comeback representing the country in the prestigious Eurosong Online Contest. The band, however, was very unhappy with the broadcaster, because after having composed the most successful entries for Melodifestivalen 1979, the broacaster had not recognized their right to royalties. Therefore a lot of money was at stake, which had cause the band to stop releasing new music since the 80s and getting their living from performing the evergreens in popular events like Allsång på Skansen. However, right before SVT giving up and choosing another performer, an agreement was reached - the band will cash in the overdue royalties and in return will represent Sweden at least twice in the Eurosong Online Contest. The first of such events will happen in Dublin; the second one will be scheduled for 2021. So the band, after several years unactive, will be back to the stages in Dublin. Will Secret Service get Sweden's second victory?
